Moving from TinyURL to Trizlink

TinyURL is one of the oldest shorteners on the web, with paid tiers for branded domains, editing and bulk links. Somebody making tens of thousands of links a month at a flat price, or who wants a name every reader recognises on the link, is well served there. If 125 links a month on the first paid tier is too tight, Trizlink's Pro gives 50,000, and the links can feed a bio page and a social calendar in the same account. Trizlink and TinyURL, side by side.

Leaving TinyURL

  1. Sort old links from live ones. TinyURL addresses get pasted everywhere and forgotten. Move the ones you still edit or measure, and leave the rest where they are.
  2. Get them out in a file. TinyURL sells a Bulk 50K plan for making links in bulk; whether your plan exports them is something to check in the account. A short list can be typed.
  3. Create a Trizlink account with your Google sign-in.
  4. Import the file. At /dashboard/links/bulk-import the importer wants target_url in every row. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded, and only the fifth step writes.
  5. Set expiry where TinyURL had it. Put the date in expires_at, or add it afterwards along with a click ceiling, which stops a link after a number of clicks.

What stays on TinyURL

  • The tinyurl.com addresses. Anyone holding one still reaches TinyURL, so do not let the account lapse while they are in use.
  • Branded domains. Trizlink verifies a domain and does not yet serve links from one.
  • Old click counts. New links count from their first click.

The facts, as of 7 November 2026

TinyURL's pricing page, read that day, is the source for each row. Check TinyURL on its own site. Most of what we compare was not on that page: nothing about a bio page, scheduled posts, team roles, a free plan, QR codes, passwords on links, an API, a UTM builder or a phone app. Those rows are left out rather than filled with guesses.
