Frequently Asked Questions
This page answers the questions people most often ask about TrizLink. TrizLink is a free link-management platform for short links, link-in-bio pages, QR codes, and analytics; for a fuller picture start with the Introduction.
Accounts and pricing
Is TrizLink free?
Yes. TrizLink is free to use. The only thing that ever costs money is optional AI features, which run on your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key — you pay your AI provider directly, and TrizLink adds no charge.
How do I sign in?
Sign-in is Google-only. There is no email-and-password option. See Create your account.
Do I need a credit card?
No. Creating an account and using the core features does not require any payment details.
Can I use TrizLink on my phone?
Yes. There is an Android app on Google Play, and the web app works in mobile browsers.
Links and bio pages
What happens to a link when it expires?
It shows an "expired" page instead of redirecting. TrizLink does not auto-delete expired links — you remove them yourself when you want. See Short links.
Can I change a short link's destination after sharing it?
Yes. Edit the link and update its destination; the short URL stays the same.
Do I need a custom domain to publish a bio page?
No. Bio pages publish to a trizlink.com/yourname slug. Custom domains are only for branded short links — see Custom domains.
Can I password-protect or time-limit a link?
Yes. Both a password and an expiry date are optional settings when you create or edit a link.
Organization and teams
How do I organize a lot of links?
Use labels, search, and filters, and import in bulk from CSV. See Link organization. There is no folder hierarchy — organization is label-based.
Can other people help manage my links?
Yes. Invite teammates to a workspace with admin, editor, or viewer roles. See Workspaces & teams.
What is a workspace?
A workspace is a separate container for links, bio pages, and analytics. You can run multiple workspaces (for example, one per brand or client) under one account.
Analytics and tracking
What does TrizLink track for each link?
Clicks over time, plus a breakdown by country, referrer, device, browser, and operating system. See Analytics.
Can I add UTM parameters and pixels?
Yes. TrizLink has reusable UTM templates, tracking pixels, and webhooks. See Tracking & UTM.
AI, API, and tools
Do I have to pay for the AI features?
You pay your AI provider, not TrizLink. AI features need your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key and stay disabled until you add one. See AI features (BYOK).
Is there an API?
Yes. Generate API keys to manage links programmatically; the authoritative endpoint reference is the in-app API documentation. See API access.
Are the utility tools really free and private?
Yes. The 40+ utility tools run entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server. See Utility tools.
Privacy and data
What does TrizLink store about me?
Your Google profile basics (name, email, avatar), your links, bio pages, analytics, and preferences. See Privacy & data and the product Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account or data?
Use Settings → Danger Zone to schedule account deletion (30-day grace period), or follow trizlink.com/data-deletion. See Create your account.
Is anything shared with third parties?
TrizLink uses analytics providers to understand product usage. The specifics are described in Privacy & data and the product Privacy Policy. Your links and analytics are not sold.
Extension and sharing
What does the browser extension do?
It shortens the current browser tab from your toolbar, shows recent links, and can sync to your account. See Browser extension.
How does sharing work?
On the web, the Share button opens an in-app modal with social buttons and copy-link; on the mobile app it opens the native OS share sheet. Only public URLs are shared. See Sharing.
