Page tours and the product walkthrough
Eleven Trizlink pages carry a Tour this page button beside the page title. Press it and a card walks you through that page, pointing at each part on the real screen while the rest stays dimmed behind it. For the whole product, open the walkthrough.
Which pages have a tour?
Home, the dashboard, short links, the new-link form, bio pages, the bio page editor, the social composer, analytics, settings, plans and admin. Editing a link has no tour.
How do I start a page tour?
Press Tour this page. From 1024 px wide the button shows its label; narrower, it is the compass icon alone. A second press closes the tour.
How do I move through a tour?
Next and Back step through it, as do the arrow keys while the card has focus. All steps lists every step, and picking one jumps there. Skip tour, Close the tour, Escape and a press outside the card all end it. On a phone the card is a sheet along the bottom; a swipe down closes it.
Is the tour different on a phone?
Yes. Every tour has three step sets: desktop from 1024 px, tablet from 768 px and phone below that, and on the dashboard that means seven steps on desktop and five on a phone. A step whose part is not on screen is left out.
How do I replay a tour?
Press Tour this page again. Every press starts from step 1, and every tour ends by pointing at that button.
What is the hint beside the button?
The first time you open a toured page, the button pulses and a note reads Take a quick tour of this page. It shows once per page and counts as seen the moment it appears — on this browser and, while you are signed in, on your account, so a second device does not repeat it. After 8 seconds, or your first press, key, scroll or touch, it goes. It does not come back.
How does the walkthrough work?
The walkthrough at trizlink.com/walkthrough is public and shows Trizlink in six steps: short links, bio pages, the composer, analytics, AI and plans. Trizlink has one AI switch for every workspace, separate from your own setting in Settings → AI; while that switch is off, the AI step is left out and the page says five. Each step shows a real screen at desktop and phone size.
Move with the step list, Back and Next step, the arrow keys or a swipe. The address keeps your place:
?step=4 opens step 4, step 1 has no parameter, and the browser's Back button walks back one step. Any value
outside 2–6 opens step 1. The last step ends on Create your free account, or Open your dashboard when
you are signed in.
It is linked as Product walkthrough in the sidebar, account menu and footer. Sign-up links it too.
The workspace shown is a demo. Its names and numbers are not yours.
