Quick Start
This Quick Start walks you from a fresh TrizLink account to a working short link, a QR code, a published link-in-bio page, and your first analytics read — in roughly five minutes. It assumes you have already created your account by signing in with Google.
1. Create your first short link
- Open trizlink.com and go to Dashboard → Links.
- Click Create Link (this opens the full-page create form at
/dashboard/links/new). - Paste the long destination URL you want to shorten.
- (Optional) Set a custom alias so the short link reads the way you want, e.g.
spring-sale. - (Optional) Add a password or an expiry date if the link should be gated or time-limited.
- Save. TrizLink shows your new short link (in the form
trizlink.com/l/<code>) ready to copy.
You now have a branded short link. Full details in Short links.
2. Grab its QR code
- Open the link you just created.
- Find its QR code, customise if you like, and download it for print or screens.
Anyone who scans the QR code is sent to your destination, and the scan counts as a click in analytics. More in QR codes.
3. Publish a link-in-bio page
- Go to Dashboard → Bio and create a new bio page.
- Pick a template (minimalist, portfolio, business, or influencer).
- Use the drag-and-drop editor to add blocks: your short links, social icons, text, and a call-to-action.
- Set a custom slug so the page lives at
trizlink.com/yourname. - Use Preview to check it, then Publish.
Your bio page is now a single link you can put in any "link in bio" field. More in Link-in-bio pages.
4. Read your analytics
- Open Dashboard → Analytics for a workspace-wide view, or open a single link's Analytics tab.
- Watch clicks over time and the breakdown by country, referrer, device, browser, and OS.
- Note the top-performing links list to see what is working.
Analytics update in real time. More in Analytics.
5. (Optional) Set up the extras
Depending on what you need next:
- Add your own domain for branded links — Custom domains.
- Organize links with labels and import in bulk from CSV — Link organization.
- Add UTM templates, tracking pixels, or webhooks — Tracking & UTM.
- Invite teammates with roles — Workspaces & teams.
- Shorten links straight from your toolbar — Browser extension.
- Connect your own AI key for captions and forecasts — AI features (BYOK).
Tips for a clean start
- Decide on a workspace structure before you bulk-create links — one workspace per brand or client keeps analytics tidy.
- Use consistent custom aliases (e.g. a campaign prefix) so links are easy to scan in the Links list.
- Only put public destinations behind short links and QR codes — see the sharing privacy note in Sharing.
FAQ
Do I need to install anything?
No. TrizLink works in the browser. The Android app and the browser extension are optional conveniences.
How long are short links kept?
Indefinitely, unless you set an expiry date or delete them. Expired links show an "expired" page rather than being auto-deleted.
Can I change a link's destination later?
Yes. Open the link and edit it. The short URL stays the same while the destination updates.
Is there a limit on links or clicks?
This Quick Start does not impose one; for current limits check the in-app dashboard and the FAQ.
Where do I manage everything after setup?
Everything lives under the Dashboard — Links, Bio, Analytics, Workspaces, Tracking, Tools, and Settings.
